I recently purchased a home in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas built approximately 1905 to 1915 and I need to find out how much is original and what I need to do to get it back to its early appearance. I am trying to find information such as a set of blueprints, proper paint schemes, contractors who specialize in this work. The home is in the Governor’s Mansion Historic District. Also there was a fire in the home some time in the past and I think the home may have been two stories, what are some signs I should look for?

I guess I should clarify a little… I’ve lived here for several years so I know about most of the places that the phone book and search engines list. I have even shopped at several of them. But I have never had to buy lumber and now that I am having to buy it, I would like to know if anyone is aware of any places that have lower prices than say Home Depot and Lowes… are the places like Ridout and Kaufman any cheaper? Thanks.
